Gravity Gun Trick, Large Jump - Hows this done?

After watching through google videos on the HL2 time trials for Ravenholm, I noticed a great deal of the gamers used an object and the gravity gun to propel themselves upwards to get onto a building or something similar. I was wondering - how is this acomplished? My various attempts have failed, and I wondered if someone could help me out here.

Basically they use a program called AutoHotkey and it allows them to set their jump button to continiously be pressed while they hold down the button, so when they jump and then they land, the jump action is immediately called upon the instant they land... which is essential for bunny hopping and flying.
