I find it quite linear. I prefer Something like morrowind to the main HL2 Storyline, but again I bought it for the mods

Yeah, its linear because...well its actually meant to be linear .

I'm not a fan of branching storylines to be honest, not counting Deus ex.

it was ok i guess..

but the speedboat levels are one of the worst designed and probobly the most boring levels i've ever played in any modern game.

i just wanted it to stop, and it eventually did.. after the horrors of the buggy levels..

Argh! Nay. But seriously, the linear-ness is deliberate and central to the deeper meanings of the storyline. :E
