Great List of Rock songs per year (from every possible rock genre)

If you don't agree with me on this, I would laugh. It's a summary of the best songs of each year since the 1970's. This guy clearly knows his stuff, it's got every great rock song from every genre and it's a fantastic mix.

It isn't in order! It's just a compilation of songs in no order from various genres..I haven't found a better list on the internet

So many famous songs by famous bands like Killers, JimmyEatWorld, ModestMouse, Hard-Fi, Muse, Arcade Fire, Interpol, KaiserCheifs, Foo'd, RHCP, Incubus, LP, BlockParty, Fratellis, LostProhepts, Nin, mutemath etc....and that's just for 2007. The best songs from very good bands

Oh, and was A Bad Dream by Keane even released in 2007? I thought it was released in like, 2006 or 2005 or something...

Apparently, you all don't seem to get the logic. It's a good list because it holds rock songs from all the possible genre's such that anyone from anyplace would be able to consider good. There are many bands in there that I know you people like and yet you all don't care. The genius of this list is just that, it's a good compilation of every possible taste that anyone could have, have you seen any other list like that.

Damn you all. It's like you're all out to attack this post or something. There are bad bands there yes, but there are good one's as well. We people in this forum have different tastes, and every single one of us could look at the list and recognize songs that we like, that's the whole ****ing point. Jeez...
And thanks alot filko and dreamthrall, you made everyone think that that's all there is to the list, a bunch of shitty bands (only)

My problem is that you called the thread "Greatest List of Rock songs per year ever" and that it includes crap like I and the others listed... Yeah, there's some good stuff on there, but just because it has SOME good stuff doesn't make it a good list.

I don't think it's actually "Greatest Rock Songs", but just that general Top 250 songs of the year. In that regard, it entirely fails.

It fails again when it seems like the author listened to a select number of albums, took at least 3 or 4 off each one and shoved them in there for padding. For instance, there's three Fall Out Boy and four Muse songs. So again, it's narrow in that respect too.

In fact, I don't know the exact purpose of the list. Is it what topped the charts or a personal best of?

yeah... if u like Good Charlote , there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....
