Growing trend it seems for game publishers / developers

I think this is sad when the industry norm now is for a game to be late or delayed.

There is no accountabilty on the part of the publisher / developers anymore, gamers just keep letting these guys get away with it.

I think the whole Valve deal is just a example on ho wreally screwed up the gaming industry is.

It won't change unless people start holding their feet to the fire.

whats so bad about delays? sure we have to wait longer but the longer we wait the better and more polished the game will be. I find it far to many companies release to early instead of delaying and thus giving very buggy and crap games.

It's a big deal when you commit to a date and miss it...

If they are not sure when it will be released, they should just
use the Carmark response "When it's done".

I have been a gamer for years and I remember a time when a publisher / developer stated a release date it actually meant something...

Now it's just fluff...
