GTA: City 17

I know this is stupid (like any other thread of mine) but when i`ve think of it i laught. How about GTA C17 where you play as a Metrocop and need to take missions from Breen and others and kill the people you want, until Gordon comes. It`s a nice mod idea (or just mine imagination)

Playing the Combine's side should be quite fascinating. Lot of opportunities to learn more about the Combine and the whole Half-Life universe.

well the thing is there aren't much alien enemies to kill in hl2 and it just wouldn't feel right to kill the rebels. but then again, an escape from ravenholm scenario would be cool...

True, this is probably one of the better ones. It's a nice idea, but it seriously won't work. Rockstar, for a start, wouldn't do it, and you couldn't call it GTA.

And plus it'd just be overly violent, something which Half-Life isn't (as opposed to GTA and Manhunt etc).

And it'd be like making Gordon speak (just to piss someone off )

But then Opposing Force wasn't "right", killing the scientists. I think beating up rebels is an interesting concept.

I like it. I wouldn't go the GTA route, but an expansion pack playing as a pre-HL2 Combine (Civil Protection and on up) would be awesome.

there is one cheat that lets you have Combine Vision though it wont work for me

Hmmm. I don't think CPs would be allowed to be freeroaming, myself. But it's a nice idea if you set it in the countryside.

Just had an idea (shoot me for it if you would). After reading Concerened, the half-life and death of Gordon Frohman, I figured (for anyone reading who's thinking of a combine mod) it wouldn't be too bad starting out as a perfectly ordinary citizen (like a guy on the train that Gordon's on ), and then signing up to CP and then advancing through the ranks.
