Uhh... Yeah... I think I have a problem... Every time I go to the HEV suit, and Gordon should put it on, it crashes my game and I get an error that says

"SV_StartSound: volume = 510"

So... Any help on how I can either get my ****ing $10 back, or fix this little bitch of a problem would be really appreciated.

Ohh, and I have had to forcefully restart my computer, so that's not it, and I've reinstalled it, so it's gotta be a file I didn't get somehow.

Have you Validated your game cache?

this is a very common error. it only happens when you change your sound settings and do not restart the game.

Well that's a little odd... I had no idea I had been changing that so much... O_O

[EDIT] Tried it, it works right now... what a weird error...
