Half Life 1 Robot Voice

Does anyone know where I can get a program ( similar to microsoft sam ) so I can type and that robot voice saying stuff like "5 minutes remaining" from ?

I know someone called absinthe X made a song where the robot voice said "freeman is an a**hole".

Just wondering how he did that, thanks.

It's not a voice synthesiser, it's actual prerecorded words as wavfiles. Use some pakexplorer program to open the pak files and extract all the waves, its under sounds/vox or something, you can then piece them together in sound recorder and make funny sentences, although the scope is limited.

I used to make such funny files. *memories*

On the other hand if you just want a voice synthesiser try www.shittalker.com but you probably wont be able to tune it to sound like the HL voice.

I could not find that folder...i went to
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\user\half-life\valve

and couldnt spot it anywhere.

They're in the Half-Life GCF, you need GCFScape. Google it.

How do you get the SAM voice to work on a text? I can only use it when testing.
