Half-Life 2 & Asus X700pro Issues

Ok im not having any MAJOR problems right now, the only problem i have is the its kinda hard trying to find the sweet spot, as for as OverClocking the Card because if its not right it will crash and my screen will go into stand-by mode and the computer will lock-up. The default setting are 425mhz(GPU)and 984mhz(RAM). My set up is 3.4ghz 512mb ram@400mhz 915g MOBO...How can i tell what CATALYST am i running, that was installed from the CD.. I install the latest driver from ASUS but
there was no mention of a CATALYST driver. the driver i do have installed is ver...6.14.10.6497....The game it self hl2 game,death match and css are excellent and look freaking amazing i just want to most out of my X700PRO.YA DIG!!!

Just get the latest drivers from ATI.com. For overclocking use Ati Tool. That will do all the work for you.

your could also try the omega drivers

Do NOT use the drivers from the CD.

Use the drivers from ati.com if those don't work, use the omega drivers.
