Half Life 2 console command -- Quick help?

Hi,

I have the orange box series, and I had the fps shown in the upper right hand corner.. well I figured out how to turn it off in the console, but now the "Source Engine build" and underneath "Map 'd1_transtation_01'" is being shown. I've looked at various command listings but I do not see any command to turn those off. I simply want a clear gaming screen.

I'm sure it is a simple command of some type, and I would appreciate it very much if anyone would be kind enough to reveal it to me.

Nevermind -- It went away.. sigh.

Anyhow, the game is considerably old, so it runs smooth. The FPS was listing in the 70's when it started.. is this capped, or is this about right for a Nvidia 8600GT , with an AMDx2 3Ghz 64bit dual proc, and 3 gig's of Ram on Vista?

The frame rate is not capped. But 70FPS does sound about right for the 8600GT.
