My this is nice.
I'm looking for a little advice please - I'm a bit old school you could say. My best nights spent in front of my screen had to be playing Quake, or GLQuake to be more precise. I used to play semi-pro in a clan called the Bike Clan (BK) and it was fantastic..the chats on irc afterwards were a welcome break.
But life changed, and my beloved PC were sacrificed for the greater good - I was 'offline' for years but now I'm back...and all because I just couldnt let HL2 pass me by.
I'm really enjoying the single player game, even though I aint too far through (i hope !) - So, I thought this was all about story and lacking in the 'frag fest' department. I fired up Deathmach for the first time last night, quickly chose a name and joined the first server with a decent ping.. I couldnt understand what folks were saying...they were French. So not expecting much......
I was so wrong. I love it. But I want more....
Yes i know, a bit long winded this one - my query is, just how do i get back into the semi-pro stuff again ? I want arranged matches, with real feeling..Is there much call for this in HL2 terms ? Does the bus stop close ?
