Half-Life 2: Episode Two is Valve’s fourth title to be released onto Nvidia's Android-based SHIELD platform. The game still requires a bit of horsepower to run smoothly, meaning it’s exclusively available on the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV. You can pick it up on Google Play right now for $7.99.

You may recall that the other three Valve titles available for the NVIDIA SHIELD are Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, and Portal. Half-Life 2 and Portal were released around the same time in May of last year, while Half-Life 2: Episode One came out a few months later. Their supported devices (which is a bit of a fragmented field) and pricing information are detailed below:

Half-Life 2
$9.99 - Google Play
Supported Devices:
  • SHIELD Android TV
  • SHIELD Portable
  • SHIELD Tablet

Half-Life 2: Episode One
$7.99 - Google Play
Supported Devices:
  • SHIELD Android TV
  • SHIELD Tablet

Portal
$9.99 - Google Play
Supported Devices:
  • SHIELD Android TV
  • SHIELD Portable
  • SHIELD Tablet
We previously analysed a few developer test maps found within the original Half-Life 2 port, so why not head on over to check out our full playthrough!

Nvidia's Android-based SHIELD platform.
the entire platform exists as another market-monopoly impetus

the whole point of Nvidia is to profit off of market monopoly, they have no interest in anything approaching open-source

that would be quite depressing because GameWorks is half marketing and half signing a developer into a contract that prevents them from working with AMD

Don't forget the part where Nvidia™ gets to screw over its own customers of the older cards with Gameworks™. Forcing everyone to buy a Titan X™ to run the game, The Way Its Meant To Be Played™
