Half-Life 2 has left me breathless

After getting 2nd version of the gravity gun, I almost wet myself. I only wish the game was more like the begginnning and end, where you didn't know where you were and you had fun the whole time. Parts like Ravenholm made me stop playing for a couple of days. The end of HL2 was sweet, and it leaves me eagle for HL3.

I like fighting the soldiers more then the aliens. Aliens arent satifying to kill

I know. A lot of the aliens are more of a chore to kill than anything. Just thing what would be possible if people converted games like Medal of Honor to Source... O maha Beach would own.

The Antlions were horrific, I didn't like them following me later on even though they did a good job.

Never look at sand the same again that's for sure.

i already passed this part but on sandtraps where theres that big part of sand, how do you get past that?
i just sprinted....kinda

Don't want to spoil it for others but the gravity gun came in handy. As long as your feet don't touch the sand your fine.

What are you guys talking about. Its the perfect combo that makes hl1 and 2 so great

The aliens are there to scare you (headcrabs, zombies, whatever they always pop out just when you dont expect it )

And soldiers are there for the tactical shooting.

I love them both
It just wouldnt be hl if you would only be fighting soldiers.

Damn yes. I hate the way the AntLions come out of the sand. The first chapter of Half-Life 2 was WOW, then the others levels made me want to stop. I am now at Nova Prospekt and it looks great. But really, Ravenholm and Sandtraps was, for me, a let down.

Really? I thought Ravenholm was the most atmospherically impressive moments in the game...it was so creepy..in a way that Doom 3 never seemed to manage. I admit sometimes I wanted to stop too but only because I was genuinely scared. Those really fast and aggressive zombies scare the crap out of me...seriously.

i hate their shriek and they come at you so quickly! i also hate the moaning of the zombies - it scares me so much.

you can pick up the strider with the new gun if you manage to kill it in the citadel
