Half-Life 2 locks up

I just loaded my Orange Box onto my new computer. I am running 64-bit now and when I try to load Half Life 2 the screen just freezes and says 64-bit mode active.

All other games in the set load fine.
Please help. Any suggestions?

64-bit is broken. I don't know for how long it has been or why it is, but it is. Put "-32bit" in the Set Launch Options box to get round it. There are no real benefits to running it in 64-bit anyway, since most 64-bit users have a PC that's already far too good for the game anyway
