Half-Life 2 Optimization Guide From IGN

i've just read the whole guide it really helps.
btw they said there will be another one soon

This could come in handy.
I agree with the sticky.

Edit: Im done reading it... heem sticky it when there's anything in it about half-life2.
In the meantime they'd better call it the 'PC optimalisation to ready it for HL2 guide from IGN' .

Optimization guide for a game that still has no set release date??? What in the **** is going on here!

This is chaos!

Besides it's not really an optimization guide for HL², it's an optimization guide for windows newbies basically.

Tis!

/defrags HDD

I suppose slapping HL2 on anything will draw attention to it.

I'm writing a Half-Life 2 guide to cleaning your toilet.

Yeah, this is stupid, it doesn't have anything to do with Half Life 2 at all, it's just the same old same old "defrag, virus scan, clean registry" crap these sites likes to publish every 6 months and pretend it's 'news'.

Just like the 'great Doom 3 performance guide' that was 8 pages long, 7 of them just covered this crap and the last one only had basic Doom 3 tweaks, most of which didn't really help much at all.

people this is part 1 its for " Cleaning Windows and getting that extra performance out of your existing rig. "

I am actually buying a new harddrive tomorrow, and reformatting my drive and reinstalling windows. So I am all set.

And I can already see what their part two is going to be like:

"HL² automatically detects the optimal video settings for your setup so there you go! Oh and if it runs slow buy an X800!"

By the way, I'm looking forward to your guide Fusion
