Half-Life 2 is just like a good action movie. It has a great story, great characters, and great action. The only thing missing is the weird casting choices that are made in many action movies. I think somebody should make a mod that fixes this.
It'd be pretty simple. First, get a skinner to make the faces of a bunch of hollywood actors. Second, we get celebrity impersonators to read the lines for the actors. After that, we replace the faces, plug in the voice, and let the lip sync software do the work. We could possibly even change the script a little to make the voices seem more genuine to the new actors. I think this mod would be pretty funny to see, especially if the right actors are chosen. Here are some suggestions:
Christopher Walken as the G-Man
The G-Man has a weird speech pattern, so let's replace it with Walken's
Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Kleiner
Lloyd is the guy who played Doc Brown in "Back to the Future." How goofy would it be if we had him in HL2. "Your in the future, Gordon!"
Sean Connery as Dr. Breen
This would be awesome. We should add the line "suck it, Trebek" somewhere in the script.
Anyway, I'm out of ideas. Post any more goofy casting ideas that you guys come up with.
