Half Life 2 subtitle problem

I've translated HL2 subtitle but i can't put it in the game after the update. Before the update i can put it in but now i can't.

Can you help about it?

Which update? The mac update? I don't really know anything about editing the subtitles other than I've read through the text files before. Here's a link that may help:

Yeah, the update forces engine to use the original files all the times.
