Half life 2 TV ads?

I dont see that many TV ads for video games except on G4TTV, do you think that Half-life2 will have televised ads? It is pretty big

With all the legal mumbo jumbo, not to mention lack of a solid release date and the fact that Vivendi Games is kinding hurting in the cash department, it doesn't surprise me.

Besides, anyone who doesn't know about HL2 right now probably isn't going to buy it anyways. Although a few "THE GAME IS OUT OMG" TV ads can go a long way for those living in a cave.

naturally microsoft are going to advertise the fu*k out of halo 2... its one of the few "outstanding" games on the xbox (quotes used becuase i really cant see what the fuss is all about). its even getting cinema trailers!

come to think of it, that e3 trailer could be used as a tv advert.. the 1 which is about 40 secs long

I have seen Splinter Cell ads, EA Sports games, GTA3/GTA: VC, Max Payne 2...Mario Kart Double Dash.

Video games do get advertised a bit...

I've seen some of those meantioned above plus i've seen the remake of Resident evil commercial (made me horney and made me go buy a gamecube), i've seen resident evil 0 commercial, sw battlefront...hmmm.... doom 3 i think....hmmmm

increasingly these days ive seen games sponsor tv shows... need for speed + pimp my ride. donkey konga is oging to be sponsoring takeshis castle :E

I think there will be at least a couple ads. I mean, splinter cell2 had some TV commercials that lasted for a bit. I'm sure this game will... btw i agree- i dont see what the big deal is w/ halo 2. It's gonna be the same zero replay value game as last time with a continued story.... woopdie doo

ms + xbox advertise quiet abit on tv here at around 7pm. Fable and all that. Heaps on our music channel. PS2 sponsers this pprogram called Mo Show (nz program lol, random shit). Then if yah count gaming programs, i supose that free advertising.
