Half Life 2 Unbelievably annoying glitch

I bought the Orange Box for the 360 and was playing the chapter Entanglement, I encountered a glitch at the part where you have to set up turrets for the second time after defeating 3 guards. The waves of guards never come after you set up the turrets, I tried reloading another save and this happened again, even after turning my Xbox off and starting from the beginning of the chapter. I can no longer precede forward in the game, and when I tried a cheat code to unlock all chapters in game so i could pass that part, it did not work.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Isn't there something you have to do to start the waves? Something like press a button.
I looked up a way to pass that point and you can actually stack items to form a makeshift ladder to get over the shield.

Another Problem

When I get by the defending part, and I go to the red room and kill all the combine, Alyx freezes next to the two tables stacked on top of each other, with out her it is seemingly impossible to finish the Level.

Break the boxes with your crowbar dont use a gun, it wastes ammo and dont double post, edit it!
