First off, I don't remember if similar topics were posted 203 or 205, lost track. Anyhow, engine competitions are getting quite hot.
Far cry is out of the question, since HL2's engine is definatly alot better in various ways, and will probably work better on slower systems.
Unreal and Doom's advantage over Half-life's seems to be in their fantastic lighting and shadowing system.
And to me, I see that Unreal has gets better physics and lighting/shadowing system then Doom's, but probably Doom's preformance will be the best of all three.
Half-life's physics system seems to be best of them.
Half-life's modeling and texturing together seem to be as flawless as it can be, and probably the best of the games.
