sup i just got half life off of ebay for my ps2, it was only about $7.

do u think its money well spent?

It's worth it for Decay, until that blasted mod finally gets released. That's why I own it anyway.

It's been coming out the next month for a year now.

I bought it when it came out (~2001). Was so hyped about the co-op part back then so yeah. :)

I'm going to get it......
if you guys say Decay is worth it. Plus I've been dying to play Hl1

I own a copy of HL for the PS2. A well worthy investment. Only problem I had with the PS2 version was the trams in the, "On a rail" chapter.

For some reason, that level was buggy. When I tried to back up in the tram in certain parts of the level, the tram would go all crazy, de-rail and disappear into the walls.

Other than that though, a great PS2 game indeed. Especially for Decay.

Dr. Colette Green and Gina Cross were hawt. :cheese:

<Off Topic> Oh yeah, the death from falling long distances was hilarious in the original HL.

In the canyon level for instance, (after the "Questionable Ethics" chapter. Can't remember the name of the canyon level) try saving your game first, jump off a large cliff and look down. When Gordon hits, it'll make a sickening bone crunching sound and Gordon will bounce on his face before proceeding to drop even further down the canyon. My favorite part in HL.

Others would disagree though and rightfully so. I'm weird. This probably really isn't the greatest thing about the original HL fs. :D

I would personally recommend purchasing Half-Life for the PC over the console. There's something about Half-Life which I always felt was better on a PC. It could be one of several factors, but it's similar to why I believe Halo is best played on a console.

Other than that, Half-Life would be worth any price you pay. Speaking as a fan, of course.

Well of course, but buying both versions will ultimately cost you so little money you may as well buy both.
