I'm not trying to be all 'OMG CONSPRIACIEEEE' here, because this is obviously just a coincidence.

Today I noticed a plot pattern throughout the Half-Life games. This applies only to the Gordon Freeman games, and not Blue Shift or Opposing Force.

There are two types of HL plots: Sabotage and rescue, and stopping reinforcements.

HL1 was "stopping reinforcements", you had to stop more Xen aliens from coming to Earth.

HL2 was "sabotage and rescue" - you had to destroy the Citadel, and rescue Eli.

Episode One is a stretch, you could say it was "sabotage and rescue", but in reality it just doesn't fit into the pattern. :(

Episode Two was "stopping reinforcements", you had to stop more Combine from coming to Earth.

Episode Three appears to be "sabotage and rescue", you have to rescue Mossman, and (if you do what Eli said) destroy the Borealis.

If only Episode One fit in I would be hailed as a genius worldwide.

I noticed something really, really weird today. In all of the Half-Life games. Including the expansion packs.

Sometimes, you're going along, and there'll be something blocking your way. I mean, you'd expect you'd have to go back and around or something. But nooo, there's always another way. And for some reason, the whole path leads directly to where you need to go. And you can't go elsewhere. And sometimes, you'll find things lying around, like a gate, in such a place that you can get to somewhere else!

It's so weird...

The most common theme of HL games is something going wrong when it's supposed to go right. It's so common, it's expected always. I was really surprised nothing interupted the shuttle launch at the end of ep.2, really, really surprised.

Same with most sp fps games really.

No, Not anymore.

HL games are TUBE games. That means you'll have to excactly one and right path to be a winner. Games like Stalker, GTA and Crysis is possible to complete the game in many ways.

But anyway, that what you said, is true, but it really doesn't enlight us in anyway.

Your English doesn't "enlight" me in anyway...

I do believe the ending validates your going wrong thing.
