We are Half-Life fans. Fans, as a general rule, tend to over-analyse everything and then spawn fantastic theories which connect all the dots while adding 2+2 and getting 5⅝. This thread isn't about the innumerable things people have said/predicted that turned out to be wrong. Although there is still a lot of stuff we've yet to find out about, this thread is for people to post the things that they got right, a brag thread if you will that allows them to say, "you see what happened? I called it bitches."

As for me well I was right about
Eli being the one to die
I know there is a couple of other things I got right... I'm just tired and can't remember...
In my defence I've only been here post-Ep1 so it's not like I've had a lot of opportunity to be right about stuff, most of my theories are still yet to be proved or disproved.

The g-man lossing control of Gordon in EP1
Magnusson was (partially) based off the scientist that said "Gordon doesn't need to hear all this"

I didn't get anything right. I didn't get anything wrong either.

I didn't bother trying to guess :p

Although somehow I knew that Mossman was a traitor. She was such a lesbian.

mossman doesn't even look that good, loser...

That gman was Gordon's dad :O

whats with people liking mossman, whats there to like?

anyway, i havn't had a theory thread nor a theory, so i guess none

meh, i didn't see that, i wanted to put a bullet in her head, but i didn't work.

She has a gloriously tight sweater.

Other than that, she's a very well-developed character. She tries to do the right thing, but makes mistakes; it makes her very human. Personally, if she were a real person I'd probably hate her, but as a video game character she's impressive.

This.

But Alyx has youths and hotness.

her sweater is really that tight, i remeber her pants been tighter.

maybe i havn't played in a while. she seems like she's in her 40's lol

I still think the combine were in direct control of Nihilithan.

They never proved that it was wrong!

That Eli was the one to die.
That the G-Man was behind the Resonance Cascade.

I was right about the Combine having no connection with Earth following the Dark Fusion explosion.

That's pretty much it.

There was one person (not me) that predicted the Eli- G-Man connection very shortly after Episode One came out. Can't remember who it was though.

My current predictions concern the Advisor's role on Earth and that G-Man is behind the disappearance of the Borealis, but I'll have to wait for a while to see if those get validated.

Yeah I actually tagged that one too. But someone else made the thread, I think.

Agreed with above posts, Mossman is one of Valve's best creations. She shows a kind of vulnerability that neither Alyx nor Eli ever show (as for Alyx's famous stalker scene, I found that quite gimmicky).

You can suck my Vortescent Coil, Druckles!

I was right about Eli, but then again, I think it was pretty obvious it was gonna happen to him.

And, yes, I love Mossman too, and I can't WAIT to learn more about her. :)

Half-Life
  • The scientists at Black Mesa have been in contact with the aliens before the incident. (That's why they're in stasis tubes.)
  • The man I called "the man in the blue suit" would play a pivotal role in the end.

Half-Life 2

  • The "alien slaves" would fight on the side of freedom.
  • That the Civil Protection officers are merely human.
  • Combine Soldiers are augmented.

Half-Life 2: Episode 1
  • The G-Man would lose control of you.
  • Headcrabs slowly eat away at the head of it's host.
  • That it would end on a train with a massive explosion.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2

  • It would have a chapter reminiscent of the vertical fight in Lambda Core
  • The G-Man gave Black Mesa the crystal.
  • It would tie into Portal in some way.
  • Eli would be the major character to die.
  • There would be another sea-saw puzzle and sniping chapter.

i personally want to grab the magnum (which i lvoe so much) and shoot her in the head.

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot I actually got right:

A Big Portal: (12/11/06)

Confirmation of the Superportal: (24/04/07)

In fact, this entire thread is fairly interesting: Your Predictions

Edit:

I don't think Gordon will be teleporting there. My money is on the Borealis. (take that Kupo)
Absolutely! It's my understand the Borealis was cut mainly due to placement though, rather than the actual content. Of course, I could be wrong, but I'm simply playing on the concept that Valve may introduce at some point, given how much work was put into it.

HOLY CRAP! Nice one, Samon!
