Half-Life wins 24th place in best franchise

I agree. Considering that it was bought out late compared to hits like Mario, and only has two games in the franchise, Half Life has done well at number 24. Although, as a HL fan, I'd definitely rather it be in the top 10.
 
lol i like how they used a picture from the world of warcraft episode for the warcraft game.
 
Oh... video game franchises. If it had been franchises period, that would've been something.
 
Pretty good list over all but I'd have put tony hawk on there above some of them.
EDIT: I'd probably put starcraft near the top just based on the fact that it obviously will have a sequel(roughly the same time DNF comes out)some day.

heh... that isnt really a good score, considering that it was beat by things like tetris pokemon and sonic... and what the hell is with the sims being in the top 10?
 
Well, considering this 'series' has two games in it, I think that's pretty good.

Sims sells good, therefore series = good.
 
Final Fantasy is 3rd and the list sucks. Quelle Surprise.

How isn't Doom a franchise? The series has spawned three major games, two minor games, masses of ports to loads of formats, a board game, a movie adaptation, and a huge fanbase making tons of stuff for it (me included).

Surely that's the definition of a franchise?
 
A franchise is pretty much Nasi Lemak from another company being sold in a prata shop -_-

Well, I do find it to be quality, not quantity, that's important. Half-Life is where it all started... The story-line and premise is great. That franchise should get first place. And if not first place, then runner-up.
