once you have walked along the bridge highwires, and been into the buildings at the end, and destroyed that big helicopter and then returned into the buildings, you have to somehow plug the plug back into the socket to do something with the bridge, thats how you go on with that level....... Can some1 please tell me how you are supposed to plug that damn plug back into the socket? it's very tricky....
please, please, please. i would appreciate it very much.

There's a button adjacent to a Combine console that you have to press which deactivates the field.

um...brb...gonna play that scene

*after 20 min of figuring out it's in d2_coastline_08 come back to this thread to find Dr. Breen beat me to it long ago*

damn......

highway 17

thank you. i have already pressed that button. but now that plug needs to go go back into the hole and i can't get it to plug in. i use the gravity gun and try to position it so i can just walk the plug into the hole but nothing happens.... Is there a button on the keyboard that i can push or at least to rotate the plug so it will fit in. Otherwise how do you get past that level?........ how do you lower the bridge?

thanks man. yep ive done that... ijust need to know how to put the plug back into the hole and what else to do.....

u don't need to put it back in my man...once you hit that switch a gunship is supposed to come and pwn you

Helicopter? It's a flying attack cyber-bug from another dimension!

The bridge doesn't move. The forcefield on top of the bridge is deactivated. Head back up and simply drive along.

After getting back in the buggy and driving a certain distance over the bridge, a train comes speeding in the opposite direction making you prone for a head-on collision. Once you hear it, immediately use the turbo feature and break to the left but not too soon because you might fall off the end of the bridge.

Or you could just noclip the whole bridge thing altogether if its THAT much of an obstacle.

Or if you are a godly jumper, you can do what the guy in the speedrun did, and fly over it, and then you can jump on the rail, and try to avoid the poles, and fly around them... :D

I never could get that plugg back in there... I don't know how to DO IT!!! OHH NOES!!! ;)

You don't have to put any back, and actually, if you do, you can't get out... :D

And don't say someone already said it, I'm just trying to be 1337 like them... :(

Why this NOCLIP word isn't censored yet? NOCLIP kills all the fun of loading the game 7 time until realizing that the TURBO should be used :P

cheers. that has ended my many frustrating hours trying to put that plug back in coz, i thought that you had to do that to do something to the bridge.. wicked. thank you heaps

oh ok so i have to go back that whole way. over those scary bldy highwires....lol! sweet. at least i have a new mission now. thank you heaps...

The only time I ever use noclip is after I completed the game. Then I could explore other things like Breen's speaking box thing. I don't use it to skip the bridge.
Also, its funny that bridge thing. Bring backs a memory from playing the second time: I drove down that bridge with no clue a train was coming, and I crashed. The second time, I reversed VERY slowly. Once I heard it, I jumped and put turbo on right away. Haha =]
