Have to pay extra for DOD:S?

With all current packages, CS:S comes included. Now for Silver+ it mentions access to DOD:S when available. Does Bronze NOT get access to DOD:S? What about retail? Do we have to pay extra to get such "official" mods now, or will it be freely downloadable as it has been?

Basically, whats the point of paying extra for DOD/HL:S? Or is it like this CS:S situation where those who payed extra get to beta test?

i thought about that, and realised i dont care

originally it was gonna be a cool little free plus, but HL:S still has bad gfx, and DoD isnt that impressive, i would play them free, but they are not good enough to be paid for... (i dont mean pirate, i mean i just wont get them...)

Bronze does not come with DoD:S but Silver and Gold do

The retail pack won't come with DoD:S since it isn't finished yet, however the CE may entitle you to DL DoD:S once it is finished.

I think this is not particularly likely though. Since the original DoD was published by Activision, it is likely that DoD:S will also be published by Activision and not be able to be a part of any VUG package.

Halflife 1 regular didnt have TFC included, but if you bought the game of the year edition it came with it, it didnt mean the regular halflife owners couldnt download TFC.

CS was originally a free mod and Valve hired the team that made it and turned CS into a retail product. Then they did the exact same with DoD, you are basically paying for CS:S since it won't be a free download and so it will be the exact same for DoD.

They aren't mods anymore.

Simply put, I will not pay. There are other competing WW2 mods of similar quality.

i will never play for dod source ever. if it has come thios far i dont want to play it. dod used to be this fun mod for normal people and not stupdi12 year old csers with cornflakes for brains.
