Have you guys seen this, OMG

bumphqs10.jpg

everything except the explosions look great
the bump map real adds alot more to it imo

where do you extract the zip file to though

Just so you know its just the T skin (I really hope they release these hl2 skins soon) anyway yeah just put the "materials" folder in your ...counterstrike source/cstrike folder

I like it a lot, those shadows add a lot of depth and make them look more 3 dimensional.

It'd work a lot better in a low-light environment, but yeah, it looks pretty. Very stylised.

the explosions look awful (judging by the screenies) but everything else looks sick. Thanks for pointing this out!

Very neat. Is this guy using his own normalmap code? I can't seem to translate the site

yeah, the site shows up all "???????????????" for me.

i don't like the explosions myself either. I thought the smoke looked nice.

The explosions look horrible, but the 3D models look very nice. Expect it to suck up more resources, respectively.

I don't care for the shadows on the CP's pants, they just don't look right and the tires are too shiney.

*edited* "two" does not have the same meaning as "too"

It looks good and stupid at the same time.

Is it released yet, because the download link is for CS: Source.

I cant make out weither that is bump mapped to the extreme or its using valve's version of parrallax mapping, either way it looks neat, but out of place.

So you may send this to valve befor they get aftermath out. The fire effect may could be improved, but that shit looks realy nice.

Nah, that's bumpmapping, there's no occlusion

The effect is nice but it looks like he was using the photoshop plugin for the bumpmaps....
the metrocops head should be smooth and the windows of the buildings look plastic but the NPCs look great.

Everything does have one of thos "come on feel me" things to it... then it just turns out everything has been laminated.

I have no clue what I'm talking about.

edit: Beautiful explosions though...

Not everywhere, but specfically on the first trainstation level, I get black spots/shadows on walls when I steped outside into the court yard. Other than that the shit looks cool

It looks like everything's wrapped in saran wrap.

everything looks great except the building's windows, but I might be able to get used to it once I play it..

When looking at the screens, it started off great then they went overkill with the bump-mapping. I hate the practice of skinners taking smooth and clean objects and dirtying and roughing up the surface. The clothes and vehicles look perfect, the rest is meh.

It looks ok but i cant stop wondering why valve didnt add support for ps 3.0 would make hl2 look 100x better.

From what I know, ps 3.0 doesn't improve the quality of graphics, it just gives a better framerate.

It can do either - same effects faster or give you the ability to make much more complex effects.
