Have you noticed the gun moving around?

If you look in the videos, when the player looks around and stuff, the gun will kind of move around or rotate a little bit. Just something cool that I'm wondering if other people have noticed it.

Yeah its a nice touch. Still its sad that weapons arent held in the slightest real way (or rather, that the camera is in a good position), one still use the old walk-with-a-stick style. Guess mods will fix that :)

Yeah, I'm sure someone could make it look as good as they want it to look.

hum... i dunno if i like it.

I realise its different from Operation flashpoint but i hated what it did, made the hairs on my back stand up :flame:

In console games its a rather nice touch to have the camera view not change for a certain amount, a dead zone almost. Makes aiming easier.

From the looks of it there is no dead zone but i dont know if ill like it when i play.... just have to wait and see.

Its just an animation. And its run on a PC with a mouse, so of course there's no deadzone. The flashpoint shake is the most realistic to date, though they also used walk-with-a-stick style when running (you should have had the rifle across you (well, you could run like this, but it wouldnt be very effective and you'd probably get tired)... But they had them correct when in ironsight. In half life, and basicly every other game except OFP, you never aim. Your character do (seen many pics of the combine in half crouch position), but your view dont. That's the bad thing.

Ok, i realise its just an animtaion but im still not convinced that ill like it. Also, i did try to point out that i know there is no dead zone it just acts like one, you dont turn untill you reach a certain extremitay of mouse movement, untill that point its only your gun that moves.

The flashpoint "shake" you talk of i presume you mean when in iorn site mode, cause that is nice to feal your breathing but i still dont like the normal shooting more where the gun moves about :(

Also i did try before but after reading it again i can realise i didnt say it very well that i know you dont get a dead zone on a mouse i was mearly refering to the fact that your turning movement has a "dead zone". I cant think of a better way to put it but what i mean is what flashpoint has and i hate it :)

Also, i dont like being able to see your body. My personal prefrence i supose but i dont get what you mean when you say that when you duck you dont see it, your view gets visably lower only thing is that you cant see your legs.

Yeah, and when walking it looks pretty great too. In CS the weapon just sway forwards and backwards, but in DoD and HL2 it sways more realistic (even if the view it unrealistic, I want a button for ironsight!=)

that was the first thing i noticed. And it's good too. Cuz I hate how the gun always ****in sticks to the screen, i can just picture someone running around with their arm all bent and stiff in real life! SAVAGE

Thats a really good feature. Helps immerse the player more. Only other game I can think of that did it good was Red Faction.

Red Faction... good... Hmm, interesting sentence. Erm, but what exactly are people talking about - I'm assuming it's not weapon sway?

You guys talking about idle animations of the hand/gun?

Err. Nope. Halo did that well.

When u look left or right, the weapon kinda shifts position according to the way gordon is looking.
