HDR like SUN SPOT?

Yes, I was wondering how to set up a SUN that has the HDR glare to it. Also, how do i make Light beams that come thru windows and have the excellent sexyness look to them? lol sorry for the <----

well, now the problem is. That I can get the sun, but can't get it to stay in one spot... I want it to point at a surtian object, or whatever, but it wont stay where the brush is. it either disapears or drops to the buttom of the skybox.
 
no really, i cant get the sun to go where i want it to. How do i make it stay where the entity is???
 
put them both in the same place and have them both target the same info target


or even easier just copy and paste the pitch values on both of them

but the HDR effect you're talking about isnt handled through the env_sun entity, it's managed by a HDR skybox map (unless I'm sorely mistaken)... You need to either use one that came with HL2 or fire up HDRShop to make one..


as for those light beams they are actually a prop entity, I cant remember the name,, search for beam or somethign like that
 
well i have HDR in my map, it i think worked thru the env sun.. I have sky_dust on and it works pretty good, its just fixed on the horizin. I could change it, but i dont care anymore, hehe maps done. Looks good.
