Helicopter at the end *spoilers*

Does anybody have an idea why that helicopter seems to have Vietnamese Air Force insignia?

This is really puzzling, since the setting is certainly in a former Soviet republic, most likely Russia or Ukraine.

Your thoughts?

It is very similar to the Soviet one, some communist thing. Can we see a screenie of the one on the Heli? I'm not convinced it isn't Soviet.

Possibly a leftover from the Vietnam war that the rebels found?

I would have to see a side by side comparison, but the markings on the heli were a variation of a very common commie theme in post WWII soviet bloc, the color red and a simplistic star design. I will play through again to pick out thetype, but I think the heli itself is a russian made heli, most likely a Mil Mi-8 varient.
