Hi all,

Nearly finished my map cs_terminal_7

Alot has changed but now i'm just adding the finishing touches...

I'm debating on whether to add rain to the map but:-

1)
Can't see how to make the ground look wet? (concrete in this case) have looked online everywhere but can't see how to do this?

2)
Can't figure a good way of adding the rain sound, ambient generic would do it but the placement is causing me some headaches...

I want it so the sound is consistent throughout the outside section, consitent!! unfortunately using ambient generic sound, unless i placed about 5 of them in a row with equal spacing the sound is going to go up and down in volume as and when you move between the ambient generic sound points (does that make sense?)

Is there a way around this?

3)
Sound scapes... how can 1 limit the sounds so inside sounds play only indoors and outside sounds play only outside full stop.

I don't want to have sound coming from a central point in the map, i'd like it so everyone indoors hears the sounds for inside and the same for the outside people, they would only hear the outside sounds etc...

If its similar to the ambient generic type i've got the same problem as before, where as you move away from the source it gets quieter.

What would be great is if you could make a brush covered in the nodraw texture and assign a sound to play inside it, this way you can constrain where the sound plays exactly

Soundscapes i'd like are:

Outside = thunder (random), rain, airport traffic

Inside = industrial drone like sounds

Hope someone can help...

PS does anyone know if adding rain will affect performance??

Thanks in advance
