Help-I can't play any Mods

Please help...I've been trying to get mods to play on my system but am having difficulty...They don't seem to appear when I start Steam...my directory setup is as follows:

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\jfkazan\half-life 2
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\jfkazan\half-life 2 lostcoast
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\jfkazan\codename gordon

These all show up and I can play them...however...these mods don't!

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\jfkazan\MOP
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\jfkazan\HL2substance

And this directory is empty!

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods

What am I doing wrong???

Please help!

move the mods that dont work to the sourcemods folder. the ones that do work are meant to go there. all mods that arent bought/download through steam go to the sourcemods folder

Thanks Giant384, but I moved them to the SourceMods directory and they still do not show up when I launch Steam...

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\HL2substance
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\MOP

Any other suggestions?

when you say restart steam do you mean you fully close it as in its not running anymore or you just close the steam menu and reopen, because you need to close it fully then restart it for it to work

Thanks Giant384...I thought when I shut off the system everynight that also closed Steam...go figure...when I actually closed it in the system tray and restarted it, it worked just fine...I appreciate all your help...
