Help Makeing Offline

Hay all in the start of next year i'll be away in another house while my house gets done up and there will be no internet so i'll not beable to play half life 2 or can i?

is there any offline patch's that i can use? i did buy the game and everthing it tip top but this one thing any help please?

You can run the game offline by launching it without an active internet connection.

EDIT: However offline mode is a temperemental sonuvabitch.

indeed it is, sign in on the internet,get all updates and everything, then try and start up in offline mode ( pull your connection) and if it works then unplug ur pc and all the gubbins....

So there's nothing i can add or edit to make it offline for now? and then i can turn it back online ?

if your on the net and start up steam, then steam will connect.

if you have internet now why would you want to play in offline mode?
