Help Me Please!

Hey, i have posted under the general forums under I NEED HELP, but i was told this was better to go to, so i can get some advice. I am stuck in the sandtraps, after you kill the big-momma-bug and take the pheromones. i have not 'practiced' with them or used them at all. the door leading out is locked. the vrodian is just standing there with his thumb up his ass and ii have no idea how to fix it. i was told that all you have to do is to follow the ugly guy. well, the problem is that he isnt moving at all. he isnt speaking, moving, or leading me anywhere. after he shoots the bug and tells me to pick up the pheromones he just stands there, forever. i was sitting there for half an hour once! i have reloaded the chapter several times hoping that it is just a glitch or something, and i have quickloaded a lot too. but to no avail as he just stands there. here are some screenshots if they help...

The first one is obviously when he shot it apart. then he told me to pick up the pheromone and i did. after that he just stood there. the screenshots are there mainly to show you where i am so you can remember. i have also tried walking to the door to get him to come, but he didnt... i also resorted to cheating; i tried the noclip to get through the door, but it didnt work. i hope omeone can help. i dont want to be stuck at the lamest part of the game forever!
(correction none of the parts of the game so far have been lame)

I just headed down the beach at that point... If he doesnt come after you have picked up the bug bait then you are bugged. I was standing right behind him when he shocked the Mamma and got the bug bait.. It could be that if you dont get the bait he won't move.

Probably a bug. You might want to just load the autosave.

try running into him
that works sometimes

As far as I know you don't go though the door you are showing in the screen shot... you go on down the beach into an encampment.

try walkin upto him and pressing your use/open door key... you can also try walking towards the dummy and throwing a pod at it.....

After I got the bugbait, I remember going to the door below where the machine gun was mounted and unblocking it with the manipulator. He led the way through the door and then showed me how to use the bugbait to control the antlions.

Hey, thanks for all the help. Im still stuck though. Every time i run into him he just walks a few feet away. Then i run into him again and he walks back to his original spot. Ill try reloading the chapter again and doing as you all said. Thanks again, and if you think of anything, please help! thanks.

I FINALLY GOT PAST IT!!! Thank you! I reloaded the chapter and did what all of you collectively said and it worked! I cant thank you enough for helping me get past my problem! Happy Gaming! :E
