hi. ok, i am stuck here:

I have destroyed the chopper thingies with the RPG. I then went back down into the basement where the guy congratulated me, and i think he says that the gate will open, but NO ONE opens the damn thing.

I have read a walkthrough that says the villagers will open the gate, but all they do is stand there.

You must get in your car, and then drive up to the gate, and then a guy will open it for you.

I've tried that too....but they still stand there.

Sounds like some script didn't work properly.

Try replaying from your last save. If that doesn't work, try replaying the whole chapter. Yeah, I know it can get tedious.
