does anyone know why my monitor switches off when halflife 2 and css start? The Valve man's face loads then just as he goes off my monitor goes to standby

it was made overclocked. Think im getting somewhere now, my monitor is not going to standby, but im getting video mode errors =(

install nu drivers uninstall ur old ones first

Never heard of 'installe' either.

Just add the -novid command to your Half Life 2 launcher. (Right-click on Half Life 2 in 'My Games' menu, click 'properties' then 'launch options' and add in that command in the dialog box that appears)

thanks for your suggestions. went back to earlier drivers and hl2 workin fine but now css and hl2dm switchin my monitor off:rolling:
