Help Prop_physics

For some reason any prop_physics object that is on either a displacement or a invisible clip surface will fall straight through as if its not there.
For example i have an elevator with a bike in. But as soon as the game loads the bike falls straight through, but the player can stand on the floor surface of the lift. This is how its setup...
The elevator is a prop_physics_override (model is from the start of HL2)
i found out without a clip surface parented to the lift the player falls through.
The lift and the floor clip are then parented to a func_tanktrain which is passable. The lift works fine..
Any ideas

All prop_physics fall through anything or just the clip and displacements?

Clip only applies to players and NPC's. Phys objects can move freely trough clip. Althhough I do think there as a material/brush based entity which is a physics clip. Thats why your bike goes thru the elevator

As for the displacements, I remember hearing that valve broke the displacements in the last SDK update so that, yup you guessed it, phys items fall right through them. Although, I thought this had ben fixed... maybe I was wrong.
