How do I Open This Gate (attached Screenshot) ?

to the right of it on that concrete ledge, there is a circle turny thingy. Hold [E] on it so that it raises, when it gets all the way up, drive on through. There is a headcrab up there with a supply box, so be careful

PLZ - I can't find that "thing" or "handle" to open the gate - look at the attached pic - Is this a BUG in the Game - what is wrong ?
