I am pulling my hair out because for some reason I really cannot take out the boss alien thing.. I'm running low on ammo too.. am i missing a trick?!

if u are talking about the antlion guard with the greenish markings u are not supposed to kill it ... dont shoot it at all just run from it and look for places to hide

look for places to hide?! that's not a little confusing at all?! i've tried running around but all the tunnels are connected so i can't find anywhere new to go..?

there should be tiny tunnels coverd by the spider web looking things (whatever they are) that u have to run into ... wait for the guard to pass ... then repeat looking for more of the little tunnels

Your goal is to find an exit covered by breakable wooden boards. You'll find it if you follow enough of the slimy little crawlspaces, since they're laid out pretty intuitively.

And the vort told you not to kill the guardian. It's actually impossible at this point, so you've just been wasting ammo. You need to keep an ear out for what the characters tell you in future.

Nice irony, considering that Valve put in that piece of dialogue just to make playtesters stop trying to kill the guardian...

All thru this game, there are bits of dialog that are pertinent to the game play, and will also tell hints of EP3. Listen to the dialogs closely! Even after several plays, I still hear things I didn't catch before.
