I was looking around and found this:
http://www.windowsx.org/enhance/

The site has some stuff on it for supposeably tweaking windowsxp and we all know how well some programs are at actually makeing windows run faster...

So with that in mind seeing as it seems that their are alot of things to do to make windows run faster and more efficant. I was wondering if their is a good program for doing all the main tweaks that many people do to optimize windows. I have not tryed that dudes program but the people over at win beta arent haveing any problems with it, but the guy doesnt seem to list all the things his little prog can do and its only 500kb for the file... So im waiting to hear if anyone here has used it or any other GOOD program that doesnt totaly crap up the pc.

Thanks guys

I use TuneUp Utilities 2004 and I must say that this soft surprised me. I tried alot of those progs but they usually don't make much difference but when I tried TuneUp Utilities, I could only say one word: Wow!!

Seriously, Windows boot much faster and the overall system performances are better. If you want the best performances you'll obviously have to sacrifice some features and visual stuff (like the XP themes) but this program lets you tweak alot of things easily and with a nice interface. You can free space on your HD, clean/optimize the registry, optimize your internet connection, optimize the memory usage, choose wich program you want to start when Windows boot, change the icons, change the theme, change the logon screen, recover files and alot more.

I've been using it for a month and I never had any problems. You can always restore the previous settings easily if you are not happy with the changes. And there is always a default button on each form so you can set the values back to default if you are not sure of what you changed.
