Wouldn't it be something useable by anyone though. Rebels don't wear special suits, but must use them. Why would all the rebel bases have them, and why would medics carry them around, just incase they saw Gordon? And the health machines, think they work in the same way, with the green goo?

Now that I remember, I think the power station in HL1 had a thick cord on it. Well, flat 2d cord drawn on it, anyways. Which does indeed imply that Gordon has an orifice on him somewhere. I mean, his suit does.
