HL 2 internet prob.

i just bought HL 2 and was surprised to learn that it required the internet to play. I had just bought a brand new comp. so i would be able to run the game, but the internet would not be set up on that comp. for a pretty long time. But i do have internet access on my laptop, is there anything i can do??

um just connect a phone cable to your computer get a dail-up acess number. ill give you one if you need it. and than just wait 50 years for it to DL. or you can just wait for your DSL

thanks, but 50 years for what to downlaod. I thought steam steam comes with the game. Is it possible to DL whatever needs to be DL on my comp. with DSL and copy it to the new comp.

Sorry I dont really kno alot about comps.

yeah you can do that go on a comp with DSL dl STEAM and all the files make a backup of them on a DVD or CD and instlal them on your ocmp
