I don't know about you guys but I cannot wait for the new pumped up versions of all our favourite games.

The question is that since most of the fighting areas of Half-life and the other expansions to the story, all are in small corridors with the occiasional large area. So how do you think they're go about with this new kick-ass engine, in these small spaces?

I'm pretty sure that they'll beef up more of the large areas and enemies, plus throw a few more easter eggs for us since they care so much. ;)

And I can't wait for the OpFor boss in Source graphics! More mayham. :sniper:

So what do you guys think they'll do to them to make them better after the source conversion?

We don't know if they are converting Op4 and Blue Shift into Source.

The only one that is confirmed is HL:Source ... honestly i doubt they will do the latter two since they were in development with gearbox. More likely the case is that a mod team will do the conversion of them.

Damn.. :hmph:

That's too bad, you never know though. Still what would you lie to see in the new conversions?

Honestly I can't wait for the new tram ride into the Black Mesa complex. Nostalgia here I come! :smoking:

I can't wait for HL2

But I think Opfor and Blue Shift would make pretty entertaining Source ports.

Yea i would also like to see the HL intro in the source engine

Although i'm not sure how much different it will be

I wonder if it will be the same general thing or more like the CS >>>> CS:Source conversion

like that map of aztec they showed where everything was much the same except a few things are different like the land in the water and stuff like that

Gabe said he will, i read it somewhere...dont remember where tho.

I emailed this question awhile ago with others. We'll see when I get a reply

I think they should do HL:Source now, just for a little treat ;x

I think they should release HL2... now THAT would be a treat. :)

The Source conversions of Half-Life and Op4 and Blue Shift (if there are for these two games - I'm sure there will be) will be very average. They are not doing any of the changes for these ports as they are for CS: S and DoD: S.

The games will feature the same level geometry, the same models, and the same textures.

The only noticable difference will be the physics.

In my mind when a mod team starts recreating the games on Source, then we'll see some major fun :).

well i think at least the textures will be higher rez and I hope it all looks as nice as HL2. I might even play through hl:source before HL2 if i can make my self.

What retard would...

What about Decay: Source, I hate gearbox for releasing it for PS2 owners only :[

yeah I'd love to see the updated visuals to go along with source in the old games. At least the weapons from hl2 put in hl1 that are in both games like pistol, revolver, shotty, crossbow etc...
