HL Story Done Quicker but less games or the other way around?

Would you want HL's story done quicker. Like ending at HL3 or HL4. Where the story gets completed, and we finally figure out everything.

OR

Would you love for there to be more HL games but not until like HL8 to figure out the end?

Well I say just finish the story already, cause to drag one on for a bunch of games begins to dull it down, and eventually you just forget what's goin on in the first place. I say finish it in hl3, make it twice as long as both hl1 and 2 combined. Also multipal endings are cool.

Half-Life would sound nice as a trilogy (with numerous expansion packs, of course), but the actual Half-Life, where you are Gordie, shouldn't drag on for sequels and sequels (eg HL5, HL6).

Valve shoud break the conventions and make a HL No.16 that is actually as good as the first one, they can do it!

It sohouldend at 3, then if valve wants to create more they can creat all sorts of expansions and sub stories and different series based on the halflife universe.

Finish the story in HL3, dragging a story for too long is usually bad. After that, numerous expansions can be released to show the world after the ending of HL3, or perhaps prequels, or something. Imagine a prequel when you're a Vortigaunt in the war between Xen and Combine, which the Combine eventually won.

i think playing as a vort would be not fun, as they only have 3 attacks, and two of them are melee. You need to be a human who can hold like 1000 guns at a time, without slowing down or even stopping.
