HL Theories: Traitor vs. Loser

I don't know if anyone ever noticed this before, but all of the title squences in Half-Life have a label. The sequence that is displayed if you decline G-Man's offer is called "LOSER"

But if you step into the portal the "TRAITOR" sequence is displayed.

Could this mean that Gordon has betrayed someone by accepting the offer? Or will someone betray Gordon in HL2?

(if you have no idea what I'm talking about, look at the titles.txt under the valve folder).

Well... he might be betraying mankind for taking a job from the G-man who might actually be combine.

I think Nilhanth was a marginally GOOD entity, and at the very least the G-Man needed him out of the way for some nefarious scheme. Xen was the "border world" between us and perhaps whatever aliens the G-Man probably works for (maybe the combine)
