HL1: Who tells u Nihilanth is called Nihilanth?

Anyone Remember? I'm guessing it's one of the Vortiguants, but I don't remember. I haven't played it in years. Correct answer appreciated.

when the level loads its called nihilanths chamber, nihilanthe means

from the raising the bar book, it said that they wanted you to think of nihilism and the lanth part means flower, like the way his head opens up

I believe the last level was called Nihilanth so it was just logical.

kk. thanks all. I did know why it was called that but I was wondering if a Vortiguant named it that or not, to help out my theory.

I haven't played HL1 in a very long time. Hmn...
