I was checking this site: http://www.fragzone.se/ and at the top there is a HL2 countdown from Valve corp. You might need to hit reload a cupple of times.
This is the second commersal about HL2 I have seen so far, the other one was on gamespot... Anyway, it's a great counter that, I think, counts down to the exact moment HL2 is released for you.
