The first time I tried it I got a crash to the desktop. A little while later I did it again by accident and I just kept right clicking to try to drop the buggy and eventually it came back to life.
I think it might just put a little to much strain on the physics engine...
Yeah, had the same. I also had some script troubles at the end of the sandtrap level, the ant lion guard died but the body disappeared and so the vortigaunt couldn't get any bugbait from it. At that point he froze and I had to noclip through the door to get to the next map.
Oh yeah, the ant lions don't attack me when I carry the super grav gun (even before I get the bugbait).
I was able to pick up the airboat with the blue manipulator but not the buggy. Maybe it has something to do with the airboat not having any axels for the physics engine to calculate.
You're not supposed to be able to do that thus there isn't any scripts (or maybe just some "TODO: add behaviour for this!" lines in there) to handle the situation and there's really only one solution for the program to get out of that proverbial dead end
If I stare at nothing special and don't move I get around 200fps
When the action is heated I'm around 50-70fps
If I put about 10 bodies into a cargo container at the crane.(think you need to do the ragdoll_maxcount 100) the container goes nuts and it drops to 10fps.
I just wanted to fill the container with bodies and swing it around... was that too much to ask?
It happens to everyone, but if you want a simple way to continue playing the game (you only miss out on highway 17, why would you need super grav for highway levels?) do a changelevel d2_coast_12. That will put you at a point where you already have the spores and the sand lions are your minions.
