HL2 has kind of changed...

Has anyone else noticed how the recent hl2 pictures look different to the ones taken a while ago? For instance in the teaser trailer alyx was wearing a totally different outfit....and how different the combine soldier looked when we was impaled by the hydra?

Looks like Valve actually are improving the game and not making us wait this long for nothing

i dont think any of the new screenshots had alyx in them, what are you comparing the teaser video to?....

and the metrocops look the same to me.....(??)

maybe include screenshots of what you're talking about?

If you download the teaser trailer (like the first vid they released) you'll see what im on about

I did notice 2 differences in that scene between the teaser and the E3 video. For one thing, in the teaser, there was a rock sticking out of the water about where the Hydra slams the combine into the water. Secondly, in the teaser, I don't believe there is a splash at that point.

The old screenshot of the hydra, as well as the very first teaser, has that really ugly pointy rock thing. In the e3 and bink video, it's all cleaned up and looks nice and smooth.

And hey, can't Alyx change her clothes at least once during the game? Could just be two different outfits.

I think XJR has spotted the difference between the really old teaser trailer, and the merely mildly old "Tunnels" vid. Alyx, for instance, seems to be wearing slightly different clothes in each...

That's because Alyx had sex between the recording of The Tunnels video and the Teaser. She didn't have enough time to put her clothes on before rushing to the Tunnels place, so she had to wear some other clothes which some crew member borrowed her.
