HL2 - New species of headcrab

I read somewhere that the new models are going from the old headcrab style to a bunny like model aka the new species. I seen it all over newsweek and it was crazy. I hope its true cuz those other headcrabs are very scary, kinda like Camel Spiders. Anyways yeah, go search newsweek and you will find it, its pretty interesting :)
 
Or that's was MultiPlayer version?I cant remember, because im delete game.Half-Life 2 will be best game ever.And it's work on Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti4200 128 mb ram.

David, I personnaly did not played the beta (although I know where to find it, I have no wish to D/l it) but I do know the spoilers in it and have seen pics of every single model in it. But the rest of the guys around here do not want to know . They want to guess. I respect that. You should too.

btw, the mods delete posts with spoilers.

Spoiler is a fact about a story, in example the Half-Life 2 story, that is undisclosed publicly (like in reviews and previews, that is, you have to play the game to know it) and some ppl just wander around saying those things, *spoiling* the HL2 experience for others. They just want to know everything they can from the *legally disclosed* items and guess the rest until they actually play the game. This applies to boooks and movies as well.

What? haven't you seen the new species of headcrab? they look like a little white wabbit except that theyr green ;)
 
All I've heard about, officially(As in, from mags and online previews), are the winged crabs, the "Headcrab lite" version, and the beefy ones.
 
That's not 100 % sure.
Valve was shutt down all valves, and keep quite.
When judgement day comes (Half-Life 2) i'll be say: "Lepo sam vam rekao da ce da bude 3 vrste HeadCrab-a."
So, i will remand quite, all secrets 'bout HL2 i will get for myself.

A bunny and a beefy headcrab? Sounds like the easter- and thanksgiving-headcrab for me.
I hope, bunnys and turkey won't become extinct. ;)

From what I have heard in the previews there are 3 different types of headcrabs. The normal one we all know and love, a flying one, and a bigger one. One thing I saw also mentioned a "lite" headcrab, as someone else in here said. I think it may be the same as the flying one. If not then it looks like there'll be 4 types. Wonder if they make different types of zombies or what?
 
I'd hope so... more variety that way.

"You liked the zoms from Half-Life? Well, guess what... Now you've got [X] different types of them!"

I wonder if the flying ones make flying zombies...

I was reading somewhere that the flying headcrabs could just be a misidentification on the previewer's part of the Gunship or Manhacks, though...

There are 3 kinds of head crabs, none of them look like a rabbit....
From what I've seen, I didn't see a head crab that looked like it could fly. (i dont think its much of a spoiler to say what isn't in the game)
The regular or "classic" headcrab is that beefy one, i think. Then there is a sort of smaller one. Looks very spider like. Then the 3rd one........whoo.....that thing is scary. I'll just tell you that its black.
And all 3 of these head crabs make 3 different kinds of zombies......
 
We know they're different, but did the person giving the preview know that?
 
So is the thingy on the page the drop ship or the flying headcrab?

Seeing as how it says..... " Combine Dropship"......I'm gonna guess that its a dropship.

Headcrabs aren't part of the combine. And you know when something is part of the combine because it is part biological and part mechanical.

The dropship is like the Gunship. Both are part of the combine.
 
Well, it doesn't look much like a combine unit to me.
More like a headcrab in a spacesuit XD
 
Well......I'm not sure whats wrong with your eyes.........but that thing dosn't look anything like a headcrab.

Especialy not with gigantic jets on its legs.
 
yeah, the jets are a hint, that it isn't a headcrab.
But it is hard believe, that there is enough place for combine soldier.
 
This thread is painful to read, it has a very beta feeling to it, no official information from Valve said that there was more types of headcrabs or zombies so I think it's wrong to talk about it.
 
Fender is that allowed in here? Even if it is hidden?

And vegeta there have been many many sources that have talked about different type of headcrabs (legit ones such as pc mags)

Do pc mags know more than the average person regarding HL2? I don't think so. Valve doesn't give PC mags more info than they would to us.
 
Nah they do, PC Gamer and Gamespot were allowed to see a demo of a huge alien in armor chasing gordon and hunting him down as he hides behinds doors. In the end it smashes its arm through the door and pulls it off. So i've read in PC Mag and on Gamespot. So they see more then us, and chances are if they've seen more then they know more
