HL2 Save bug

I have encountered a bug - each time I go to save(or autosave), the game crashes. It hangs for a moment(with a sound stutter) and then crashes to desktop, with the "ding" sound. This is not a firewall issue(There is a similar problem with CS:CZ, but there is no sound, which is due to a firewall).

check that the folder you are saving to isnt read-only? thats all i can think of :-/

it happens to me, i just thought because my computer sucked...
when i load the game back up, the saved game is right there though, does it do that with you or does it not save at all?

Correct you are Thadius - the save is perfect(otherwise I would be complaining more )

Hrmm. It worked, but now the folder won't stay with read only being unchecked.. I'll try to figure it out
